Description

Ponstan Tablets 500mg contain Mefenamic Acid, a fenamate class NSAID with strong analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties. It is the most widely prescribed pain reliever for dysmenorrhoea (period pain) in Pakistan, providing effective relief within 30–60 minutes of administration.

Key Uses: Dysmenorrhoea (period pain) — primary use, headache, toothache and dental pain, musculoskeletal pain, post-operative pain, mild to moderate inflammatory pain, menorrhagia (heavy periods).

Composition: Mefenamic Acid 500mg per tablet. Pack of 10 tablets.

Dosage: 500mg three times daily with food. Start at onset of period pain or symptoms for best effect. Do not use continuously for more than 7 days without medical advice.

⚠️ Prescription Required: Avoid in peptic ulcer, renal impairment, or inflammatory bowel disease. Take with food to reduce GI irritation.
