Description

Stemetil Tablets 5mg contain Prochlorperazine Maleate, a phenothiazine antiemetic and antivertigo agent. It blocks central dopamine receptors in the chemoreceptor trigger zone (CTZ), effectively controlling nausea and vomiting from various causes, and also acts on vestibular centres to relieve vertigo and dizziness.

Key Uses: Nausea and vomiting (various causes), vertigo and dizziness (labyrinthitis, Ménière’s disease), motion sickness, migraine-associated nausea, post-operative nausea.

Composition: Prochlorperazine Maleate 5mg per tablet. Pack of 10 tablets.

Dosage: Nausea/vomiting: 5–10mg 2–3 times daily. Vertigo: 5mg three times daily as prescribed.

⚠️ Prescription Required: May cause drowsiness — avoid driving. Risk of extrapyramidal side effects with high doses. Not for children under 10kg or for long-term use without monitoring.
