Description
Januvia Tablets 100mg contain Sitagliptin Phosphate, a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor that increases insulin secretion and decreases glucagon levels in a glucose-dependent manner. It is a well-tolerated newer oral antidiabetic with a low risk of hypoglycaemia as monotherapy.
Key Uses: Type 2 diabetes mellitus — as monotherapy or in combination with Metformin, sulphonylureas, insulin, or other antidiabetics to improve glycaemic control.
Composition: Sitagliptin 100mg per tablet. Pack of 28 tablets.
Dosage: 100mg once daily, with or without food. Dose reduction required in renal impairment — as directed by physician.
⚠️ Prescription Required: Monitor renal function during treatment. Risk of pancreatitis — discontinue if unexplained abdominal pain occurs. Not for Type 1 diabetes.
