Description

Imodium Capsules 2mg contain Loperamide Hydrochloride, an opioid receptor agonist that works directly on the gut wall to slow intestinal movement and reduce fluid and electrolyte loss. It is the leading OTC treatment for acute diarrhoea and is especially useful for traveller’s diarrhoea.

Key Uses: Acute diarrhoea, traveller’s diarrhoea, diarrhoea associated with IBS, acute infectious diarrhoea (symptomatic relief), chronic diarrhoea management.

Composition: Loperamide HCl 2mg per capsule. Pack of 6 capsules.

Dosage: Adults: 2 capsules initially, then 1 after each loose stool. Maximum 8 capsules (16mg) per 24 hours. Do not use for more than 2 days without medical advice.

Note: Not for children under 2 years. Consult doctor if diarrhoea is accompanied by bloody stools or high fever. Maintain adequate fluid and electrolyte intake.
