Description

Proton Tablets 40mg contain Pantoprazole Sodium, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that blocks the gastric proton pump (H+/K+-ATPase), providing potent and long-lasting suppression of gastric acid secretion. It is widely used across gastroenterology and internal medicine for acid-related disorders.

Key Uses: Gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD), erosive oesophagitis, peptic ulcer (gastric and duodenal), H. pylori eradication adjunct, NSAID-induced ulcer prevention, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.

Composition: Pantoprazole Sodium 40mg per tablet. Pack of 14 tablets.

Dosage: 40mg once daily before breakfast. Swallow whole — do not crush or chew enteric-coated tablet.

⚠️ Prescription Required: Rule out gastric malignancy before long-term use. Monitor Mg2+ and B12 with prolonged therapy. Risk of C. difficile with long-term use.
